So a cop on a motorcycle caught me without a mask just as I was about the enter the building I live in.
I usually wear a mask everywhere I go, but the one time a week I come back from the grocery store, carrying 20Kg worth of groceries for about 700 meters I take the mask off because otherwise it's hard to breathe and I start gagging because I have a sensitive gag reflex, and there are very few people on the way.
So I told the cop that I'm carrying this weight and it was hard to breathe, and he said it's hard for him too, so essentially not his problem.
He also said he's not giving me a physical copy of the fine because he doesn't have a printer, and when I said I don't have a mailbox at my address he told me to take it up at the police station.
So I went to the police station, saw a few cops chatting outside without masks on, asked the receptionist about my ticket and she said she doesn't have any information and it's going to take around 72 hours for the information to process, same when I called their hotline.
So I'm going to take it to court, I guess.
My question is, if the law specifically states that people engaged in sport activities are exempt from the mask wearing requirement, because clearly people need to exercise to maintain their health, and if someone is running for example, wearing a mask will restrict their air intake and do more damage than good.
If someone is doing body weight exercises at the park, why should they be given that protection while I'm functionally doing the same thing, for the much more basic need of getting food, and get fined?
