האמת, לאור השרשור, הייתי מאוד סקפטית האם תוכל/תרצה למכור.
העלאת הרף ל- ״מכירה״ (עם העלייה במחיר המנייה) מאוד מוכרת. מניחה שהעובדה שהחלטת לא למכור את כל המניות של טסלה שברשותך, הקלה בסופו של דבר על ההחלטה. סוג של תחושה פסיכולוגית של win win שלא מתקבלת במכירה מלאה (או באי מכירה בכלל).

אז מה התוכניות עכשיו? פרישה מוקדמת? ממשיך את העבודה?
עד עכשיו זה אכן היה סיפור מתח עם סוף טוב (כמו שמישהו כאן כתב) אבל תכלס, עכשיו מתחיל הסיפור המעניין באמת.

Going to put most of it in VT, maybe a couple hundred thousand in in something more speculative like ARK, maybe Baron Funds if I figure out how to buy them.

Yup.

Yeah, I was skeptical too, but it helped that the amount is enough to retire, I have the extra 1/3 for the future, and the fact that I wrote the price target here, told a few close friends, talked to a tax advisor.

I'm not really sure.
I liked my job before, but in the last couple of years it got tedious, but then in the last few months the code project I was helping out with got deprecated and I got back to doing more stuff on the art side, a new project that would be fun to work on if we win the pitch.
And I'm working 3 days a week now (was working 4 before, but I accumulated too many vacation days so I decided to take off all Mondays for the next 5 months because HR were nagging)
So no pressing need for change on that front in the near future.
Still doing about doing a masters degree abroad, or maybe just travel to find a new place to settle down in, but I guess it will have to wait around another year.

I might consider selling the rest if the trend continues to around 1800, but other than that I'm planning to keep them for the long term, Elon said he might be interested in forming a holding company for all his companies, so I might be able to own a piece of SpaceX after all, which was all I wanted in the first place.

Unrelated to all the stock silliness.

And I guess informed by the intersection of a somewhat cynical/skeptical attempt at online dating, reading a science fiction book dealing with relationships and strategic transfer of information, thoughts about specific people.

Trying to fall asleep, I see in my mind's eye this huge cavernous network of tenuous connections between people, below the surface of their interactions, wondering about my place among them.
The signals that they send while trying to maintain the plausible deniability that's demanded by game theory.
To mask considerations of attraction, safety, prospects of personal gain, the comfort of seeing aspects of yourself reflected in another.
To some this subterranean network is completely opaque, some may be predisposed to glean information from it, take advantage of their unique knowledge or the illusion of it.
And I wonder how much more fulfilling and efficient the world might be if the barriers were removed and the information flowed freely without judgement.
But sadly we are still the products of 'nature, red in tooth and claw' and these sorts of tactical considerations would be difficult to overcome.

Oh well, back to reading another chapter about sentient spaceships with their amusing yet insightful names and the humans who mainly serve as their gut-bacteria.

לא נראה לי שהבנת לגמרי איך כסף עובד - כלל שיש לך יותר ממנו, ככה אתה רוצה עוד הרבה יותר ממנו, ותמיד נראה לך שאם היה לך רק פי 10 או פי 100 ממה שיש לך עכשיו, אז היית מגיע לשלוות נפש ואושר לשארית חייך, רק שהתחושה הזאת מחזיקה מעמד זמן קצר מאד, עד שאתה מבין את כל הדברים שהיית יכול להשיג\לעשות אם רק היה לך פי 10 או 100 יותר (כמו להקים חברה שתיישב את מאדים).
