So as part of my never-ending saga of transferring my position to IB, after the position was finally transferred, the cost data failed to appear, of course it did.
So now, after Excellence claiming it was transferred with the stock, IB claiming they didn't get it, I'm left to enter it manually from a report I got from Execellence.
So my questions are (I understand none of the people answering are accountants or IB support people, I should consult with either or both of those, and this is just a request for opinions based on prior experience, so I'll spare you the need to write that disclaimer):
I assume that since Israeli brokers work in FIFO, for every sale I just remove stock from the beginning of the buy blocks, and add only the remaining blocks, is that correct?
Since I have a stock that has undergone a split, do I enter the post-split share amounts?
The form requires and acquisition date, the report I have has two columns,
'תאריך ערך' and 'תאריך קובע למס'', which one do I use?
